Since 2021, I've helped hundreds of people in tech gain clarity on what's next for them, and develop a plan to move forward with intention.

My Method

Coaching to gain career clarity is a pretty unique offering in the coaching industry, so I get a lot of questions about how I do it. Over the course of 8 coaching sessions, I guide my clients through 3 phases:

Discovery

This is the phase where you're learning more about yourself and I'm deeply getting to know you.

We will do exercises, such as:

  • assessing your satisfaction in various dimensions of work

  • uncovering your values and priorities

  • evaluating fresh perspectives

  • examining and troubleshooting what's holding you back

We will explore the possibilities by:

  • tracing backwards in your career, identifying your motivators

  • examining why certain career paths pique your interest even if they aren't right for you in this stage of life

  • uncovering new career paths you've not before considered

Clarity

Now that we have a deep understanding of who you are, what's important to you, and all the possibilities, it's time to figure out which path is best for you.

During this time, we will:

  • identify your non-negotiables around compensation, title, work-life balance, in-office flexibility, and more.

  • assess skill gaps and what it will take to level up

  • cross-check possible roles against your values & long-term goals, ruling out the ones that don't fit

  • narrow down to the best path for you to pursue

​

By the end of this phase, we will hit a major milestone: identifying what's next for you in your career. This is a huge moment!

Action

The work isn't over yet! Now that we know what you're going for, we need to be smart about building a plan.

  • This is where my knowledge about the tech market, networking, and interviewing is invaluable​

  • ​I will teach you to tell your career history so it resonates with hiring teams 

  • We will develop a practical plan to get you on your way to your new role, including structure and accountability guardrails​

Even with your busy schedule, we will design specific steps that align with your bandwidth and allow you to get to your goal on your timeline.

What to expect

  • Eight (1-hour) 1:1 coaching sessions

    • Typical cadence between sessions is 2-3 weeks​

    • Easy scheduling through my client management system

  • Unlimited email and text support throughout the engagement​

  • Resume and cover letter reviews

  • Follow-up notes and action items after our sessions

  • Accountability check-ins to facilitate action

  • Confidentiality: everything we discuss (or write) stays between us​​
